The program is capable of running for two matches for the same age
group(s) and league on one computer at the same venue. To do this
the choice should be made when setting the number of teams.
7.1Operating Differences
When running for two matches at the same venue, each match is
considered to be separate from the other(s) in all respects. The matches
are identified by a "Match" number shown at the top right of the screen.
The screen colours will also be changed for the second matches.
When started for Double matches the number of teams, competition name and
round must be set for all matches before club names and declarations are
entered.
All information entered must be related to the match number being displayed.
All requests operate in the same way as for a single match but apply to the
match being displayed.
The next numbered match can be switched to by using the F5 key. In addition
match 1 can be selected with the keys Shift-F1 and match 2 with Shift-F2.
All automated features operate in the same way for the other match regardless
of the match being displayed. All printouts during the meeting will have
the match number included to show which match they are related to.
Ending the program is performed in the normal way from any match with
EXIT, End Meeting and will end all matches.
Generally where two matches occur at the same venue field
events generally start some time before the track events. Where the
List Prompter is being used, to ensure that the printouts are not blank
or only partially complete the user is advised to enter the field
event athletes for all matches before entering any track athletes.
7.2Double Match Timetables
Timetables for Double matches will automatically be selected based on the
match number.
See: 4.1, 6.1, 6.2, 8.5.2
7.3Double Match Standards
Performanaces for Double matches standards are compared against the same
standard lists as match 1.
See: 4.2, 8.5.3
7.4Double Match Draw Orders
The draws held in ".DO1" are used for match number 1 and draws in ".DO2" for
match number 2.
See: 4.3, 8.5.4
7.5Double Printers
The printer selected for match number 2 is the same as match
number 1, i.e. the default. If desired the printouts from each match
can be sent to two different printers. This option is only
supported if the appropriate hardware is fitted and detected.
Initial testing of a second printer should be performed prior to the match.
This ensures the printer is functioning correctly before use at a match.
To redirect match printouts to a second printer the following
steps should be followed after the Competition name and round number
have been chosen for all matches.
- Switch to the match which is to use the second printer.
- Select PRINT, Printer, Select Printer menu and choose the alternative printer.
All printouts for that match number, including final results, will be
directed to that printer unless changed again.
See: 8.4.1.3, 8.7.2
7.6Entering Double Match Results
Entry of all event results is performed as described in the Entering
Results section. The program is not capable of detecting which match
event results are being entered if the team numbers are the same in
each match. Care should be taken in such cases to ensure that event
results being entered is relate to the match being displayed.
When setting up or confirming previous round results of any previous
match, the previous match menu refers to the league, division (area
and sub-area) of the match displayed.
See: 5
7.7Double Match Prompters
The prompter settings for a match operate independently of those for the
other match. To identify which match the prompter relates to, the match
number is added to all prompter displays and printouts.

7.8Restart of Double Match
If a double match is ended prematurely, the program will restart
automatically for the same number of matches provided it is re-started as
it was initially.
7.9Recalling Double Matches
Any double match file can be recalled as a single match if desired
using the method described in the Recalling Meetings section. Two
matches can also be recalled at the same time if desired.
When match one is recalled, the second match will be switched to
automatically where it can be recalled by the same selection process.
The first recalled match will be switched back to.
Any changes to the match files will be treated as if they were being
used at the venue.
